Communication and Collaboration Solutions for the Mobile Worker
Friday, April 08, 2011

On March 16, BBH Solutions, along with co-hosts BlackBerry and Cisco Systems, held an informative seminar on IP-based Mobility Solutions.

The event, held at Smash Studios in New York City, included presentations from Cisco's David Murphy and BlackBerry's Ian Fogg.  Participants learned from Mr. Murphy how Cisco has taken Unified Communications to a new level -- "Unified Collaboration" -- through the development and integration of voice, data, video, and social applications. Afterward, Ian Fogg gave a presentation on the cost saving and productivity benefits of BlackBerry Mobile Voice System (MVS) 5.0, which enables BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) clients to integrate users' smartphones into the Cisco Unified Communications Manager environment as true endpoints with desk phone functionality.

BBH Solutions provided a live demonstration of BlackBerry MVS 5.0 working over a Cisco Unified Communications Manager environment after the presentations. Guests were given a special sneak preview of the new, soon-to-be-launched BlackBerry PlayBook.  One lucky audience member even won a new PlayBook, and three others won BlackBerry Presenters.
