Senior Network Engineer

BBH Solutions has an immediate opening for a Senior Network Engineer with an extensive experience with the Cisco routing, switching and security product lines. This position is principally responsible for design, implementation, troubleshooting of Cisco networks for our clients. Candidate should have ability to assess current environments and make recommendations for improvement and remediation.
Requirements:
- 5-7+ years network engineering/support experience, preferably in the financial services industry

CCIE Routing & Switching and/or Security
- knowledge and hands-on experience installing Cisco routers and switches (Catalyst 6500’s, 3750’s, 2800/3800 series routers, Cisco Nexus Platform, Cisco IOS)
- Experience with routing/switching protocols (EIGRP, (i/e)BGP, HSRP, spanning tree), IP addressing and protocols (TCP/UDP)
- Experience with Cisco ASA/FSM firewalls
- Experience with WAN deployments including design, implementation and troubleshooting (T-1, DS-3, PPP, MPLS, frame relay, metro Ethernet)
- Client site visits required, mostly in NYC area
- Must have experience and understanding of high availability network solutions and technologies
- Experience with QOS specifically around voice and streaming technologies
- Experience with industry standard network monitoring, management and packet analysis tools to monitor and troubleshoot network/application performance and connectivity problems (Sniffer/Ethereal/Wire Shark, What’s Up Gold, Cacti, SNMP)
- Some hands on experience with Microsoft Windows Servers – installation, hardware platform and support (knowledge of Unix/Linux a plus)
- Voice over IP experience a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self motivated, ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Prior work in professional services, consulting preferred but not required
