IP Surveillance

When the management team of this historic hotel wanted to their surveillance system and amenities, they called on BBH Solutions for planning and implementation of the project.  

Client's Challenge

• The Client sought to upgrade the amenities they offered to their guests, such as adding wireless internet access.
• The Client also wanted to upgrade their analog camera surveillance to a digital IP system.
• It was essential the 21st century technological improvements not interfere with the hotel's feature style reminiscent of the 1930's.

BBH's Solution

• BBH Solutions consulted with the Client, planned, and implemented the entire project.
• Integrated the new IP surveillance system with the relatively new and good-quality hardware the client already had in place, preserving the integrity of their original, substantial investment.
• Upgraded the server, providing for more storage space and enabling the hotel to record up to 30 days of video.
• Remote access to the digital video feed via web interface was also built into the system.

Added Value

• The Client experienced an increase in image quality as the new digitally captured surveillance footage no longer required reusing VHS tapes.
• The Client was able to recapture lost time, as the surveillance tapes no longer required an employee to manually remind through several hours or days of tape to view a single event.
