Cat 6 and fiber optic cable installation and Cat 6 cable relocation for a media and publishing giant in the New York City Financial District.
This media giant publishes celebrity and health & fitness magazines with a circulation of over 6 million, with online properties that reach an average of 100 million monthly page views. As the company was preparing to relocate into two floors in a New York City Financial District high-rise, BBH Solutions performed the following services:
- Relocated 5 data racks; installed 4 new data racks
- Installed fiber optic, Cat 6, and 25 pair backbone riser cabling
- Supplied rack mounted fiber enclosures and terminated fiber backbone
- Installed 6 sets of 48 Cat 6 intercabinet cables
- Installed, terminated, and tested over 1000 Cat 6 cables (General Cable specification)
- Terminations at patch panel and workstation ends were completed on Panduit Cat 6 MiniCom Jacks
- Relocated and tested 56 Cat 6 cables
- Tested 260 existing Cat 6 cables
- Removed existing unusable copper cabling
- Patched 1400 cables at data racks
- Cable installation for access control at 21 doors
